Meet the Chapter Leader
Yuhan SatapoThailand
Yuhan Satapo is a Climate Friendly Travel Scholar from Thailand and a Sustainability and Climate Coordinator at SEVEN SUN 2514 CO., LTD., Chiang Mai. He holds a Master of Science in Islamic Finance from Hamad Bin Khalifa University and brings a multidisciplinary perspective that bridges sustainability, climate action, finance, and community development. Growing up in Southern Thailand, he developed a deep commitment to building resilient communities and advancing inclusive solutions to environmental and social challenges. His work focuses on promoting sustainable practices, climate resilience, and responsible development that create lasting impact for both people and the planet. As a CFT Scholar, he is passionate about leveraging climate-friendly travel as a catalyst for sustainable growth, cultural understanding, and global cooperation. He believes that the future of tourism must be regenerative, inclusive, and driven by bold climate leadership.

About Me
I am a sustainability and conservation professional with a passion for connecting people, wildlife, and nature through meaningful experiences. Over the past 10 years, I have worked across environmental education, biodiversity conservation, responsible tourism, and community engagement, helping create positive impacts for both people and the environment.
Currently, I serve as the Elephant Camp Manager at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, where I oversee elephant welfare, conservation programs, sustainability initiatives, and guest experiences. My role allows me to combine my love for wildlife with my commitment to responsible tourism, ensuring that animal welfare, environmental stewardship, and memorable guest experiences go hand in hand.
My career journey began in environmental research and education, where I worked closely with students, local communities, researchers, and conservation organizations. These experiences helped shape my belief that conservation is most successful when people are inspired to understand and care about the natural world.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Conservation Biology and a Master's degree in Environmental Management from Mahidol University. Throughout my career, I have continued to strengthen my knowledge through professional development in sustainable hospitality, climate-friendly travel, biodiversity conservation, and ethical tourism management.
What motivates me most is creating opportunities where conservation, tourism, and local communities can thrive together. Whether leading sustainability projects, developing educational programs, supporting wildlife welfare, or building partnerships, I believe that small actions can create lasting positive change for future generations.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring nature, learning about sustainability innovations, and sharing stories that inspire people to appreciate and protect our natural world. 🌿🐘
