Meet the Chapter Leaders
Abdullah AlzakwaniOman
Abdullah Alzakwani is a hospitality professional with over six years of experience in hotel operations and guest experience, having worked in the industry since 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geology and Earth Science from Sultan Qaboos University, combining a scientific background with a strong commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism.
In 2025, Abdullah was awarded a scholarship to pursue the Climate Friendly Travel Diploma with SUNx Malta through Institute of Tourism Studies Malta. He is currently completing his internship year while actively advocating for climate-conscious tourism practices.
As the Chapter Leader for Oman, Abdullah promotes Climate Friendly Travel initiatives, supports sustainable tourism development, and encourages industry engagement in environmental responsibility. His goal is to contribute to positioning Oman as a leading sustainable tourism destination while creating lasting benefits for communities, visitors, and future generations.
